Qualifying Life Events (QLE)

If you have a qualifying life event, you can make related changes to your benefits as long as you complete your enrollment, including submitting appropriate documentation, no later than 30 days from the event. If you add any dependents, you must submit all appropriate information to the Benefits Manager within 30 days of the event.  

Examples of a qualifying life event include:

  • Marriage
  • Having a baby or adopting a child
  • Divorce
  • Ending a domestic partnership
  • Spouse/domestic partners annual enrollment differs from yours
  • Covered Dependent Dies
