Periodically, the Retirement Plan Committee (the Committee) of Toys“R”Us conducts a review of the 401(k) plan’s investment options. As a result of a recent review, the Committee is making investment option changes in an effort to lower the overall expenses of the 401(k) plan and for the 401(k) plan participants. The following changes will go into effect on July 1, 2016 and may have an impact on how a participant’s account is invested.
- The Fidelity Freedom Funds will be moving to FIAM Index Target Date Commingled Pool Class Z Funds (Collective Investment Trusts). Participants will have investment options that offer a target date investment strategy and similar risk, but the overall expenses they’ll incur will be lower.
- The “TRU” Plan’s default fund will be changing to the FIAM Index Target Date Commingled Pool Class Z Funds.
Communications notifying participants of these upcoming changes were sent out the week of May 23rd.
