July 1, 2016, marks the start of the new plan year for benefits and you may begin to receive invoices when you incur medical services. As a reminder, if you're enrolled in an Aetna or Kaiser Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) you must first satisfy your deductible each plan year before the plan will share the cost of your medical coverage, including prescription drugs (with the exception of preventive care and some preventive drugs). To help you meet the deductible and pay for qualified expenses, you may use available funds from your Health Savings Account (HSA), if applicable.
If you have questions about any costs incurred for claims, you can contact Aetna at 1-800-589-4811 or Kaiser at 1-800-464-4000. In addition, watch the video for more details on how the plans work.
