Effective July 1, 2016, the waiting/eligibility period for benefits is changing from 90 days to 30 days. 

  • New Hires: Benefits eligible team members hired as of 7/1/16 or later will have benefit coverage effective as of their 31st day of service.  However, you MUST enroll through the “R”Benefits Service Center by the end of your waiting period, or 30 days from your hire date in order for benefits to become effective.
  • Qualified Life Events/Newly Eligible: Team members who experience a qualified life event or become newly eligible for benefits as of 7/1/16 or later will have 30 days from the benefits eligibility date to make benefit elections through the “R”Benefits Service Center.  Benefit coverage will be effective on the 31st day from your benefits eligibility date.
